ECMS 2015

2015 09 09-11
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we invite you to the 8th European Conference on Mineralogy and Spectroscopy (ECMS 2015) in Rome, Italy, September 9-11, 2015. The conference will hopefully reflect the philosophy of previous conferences and provide a common forum to present new ideas, concepts and results related to mineral spectroscopy. It will also offer an opportunity for students and young scientists to meet and interact with established, well-known scientists.
ECMS 2015 will deal with mineralogy, spectroscopy and related fields of science, with a special focus on the interplay between short-range and long-range information to account for crystalline and amorphous materials physical properties. The Conference will bring together both theoretically and experimentally oriented scientists, providing them with an opportunity to share ideas and learn from one another.
See more at the Conference website.

AMAM 2015 - International Conference on Applied Mineralogy & Advanced Materials

Castellaneta Marina (TA)

2015 06 07-13
The Italian Association for the Study of Clays (AISA) and the Institute of Methodologies for Environmental Analysis (IMAA) are pleased to invite you to AMAM 2015, the International Conference on Applied Mineralogy & Advanced Materials.
The main themes of the Conference are: Biomaterials; Catalysis; Colloids & Interfaces; Cultural Heritage; Environment & Technology; Materials & Minerals Engineering; Materials & Minerals Processing; Microporous & Mesoporous Materials; Nanomaterials.
Subscribe to our newsletter to stay updated with what’s new with the conference website www.amam2015.org.
This first announcement is to invite you to serve as a session chair: submit a session proposal before May 11, 2014. Scientists in mineralogy, materials science, physics, biology, chemistry, cultural heritage are invited to share ideas and knowledge on the boundless world of the crystalline and no-crystalline solid state. AMAM 2015 will provide a truly global platform for researchers and engineers coming from academia and industry. Join us!

IYCr-2014: Challenges in Crystallography

2014 10 13-14
Dal 13 al 14 ottobre 2014 si svolgerà a Roma, presso l'Accademia dei Lincei (Palazzo Corsini, Via della Lungara 10), il convegno internazionale "IYCr-2014: Challenges in Crystallography - Celebrating the International Year of Crystallography" (programma del convegno).

IMA 2014

Gauteng, South Africa

2014 09 1-5
The Organising Committee of IMA2014 would like to invite you to attend the 21st General Meeting of the International Mineralogical Association to be held from 1 to 5 September 2014 at the Sandton Convention centre in the Gauteng province of South Africa.
As a country with a large mining and mineralogical industry, as well as strong mineralogical, geological and geochemical research initiatives, South Africa is highly appropriate to host this meeting. Most of the mines and mineral occurrences are close to good infrastructure and easily accessible. Other easily accessible southern African countries also boast some outstanding geology and mineral fields.
The content of the technical sessions will reflect all the traditionally most important topics of our science as well as other, locally and internationally relevant topics. A number of sessions have already been proposed. Please visit the Session Proposals page. Proposals may still be submitted until 30 June 2013.
